Gail is an unincorporated town in Borden County, Texas, United States. Located on U.S. Highway 180, it is the county seat of Borden County. The town and county are named for Gail Borden, Jr., of Houston, the inventor of condensed milk. HistoryFounded in 1891 to coincide with the organization of Borden County, Gail has served as county seat for the duration of its existence. Borden County had remained quite sparsely populated until 1903, when the locally famed "War of Ribbons", inspired by a state sanctioned land grab, took place. The conflict took its name from the practice of established ranchers displaying their affiliation and identity by way of a blue ribbon on their sleeves, whereas new settlers to the area designated theirs with a similarly placed red ribbon. By 1910 Gail was home to more than 700 residents, and though this would fall to 600 by 1912 the community remained the economic and governmental hub of Borden County. Changes in agricultural practices and patterns coupled with the Great Depression brought any prosperity the town and county might have had to an abrupt halt, however, and by 1936 Gail's population had dwindled to 250 residents. By 1980 this had fallen to around 190, a figure Gail has maintained fairly consistently since. EducationGail is served by the Borden County Independent School District. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License How many eligibility lawsuits are there? Q. Seems everyone wants to if or how Obama has spent on lawyers. No matter what one says or gives links to its all a lie. how does one explain how these are being paid? here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility: * New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo has filed a case on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others alleging Congress didn't properly ascertain that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president. * Pennsylvania Democrat Philip Berg has three cases pending, including Berg vs. Obama in the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, a separate Berg vs. Obama case alleging he wasn't qualified even to be U.S. senator and Hollister vs. Soetoro a/k/a Obama, (now dismissed) brought on behalf… [cont.] Asked by Englishman in Kentucky - Thu Aug 6 11:46:25 2009 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments A. All it takes to get one of these lawsuits dismissed is a single motion to dismiss for lack of standing and failure to state a claim under which relief can be granted under Rule 12(b)(6) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. So far, every one of these lawsuits has been dismissed on one of these two bases. These memos are VERY cheap to write. That's because they all look the same. It takes about one hour of an associate's time to do it. And they always succeed. The cost for Obama and the DNC in defending these lawsuits is probably trivial. How do I know these things? Because I'm a lawyer, and I write these motions myself all the time. Answered by Sadcat - Thu Aug 6 11:53:10 2009 Why is the media disinterested in the Honor Killings of two Teenage Girls in Dallas? Q. Still Dead in Dallas By Phyllis Chesler Chesler Chronicles at Pajamas Media | Tuesday, May 20, 2008 Old News: The sisters, Sarah and Amina Said, are still dead; their father-murderer, Yasir Abdul Said, has not yet been found; the mainstream media continues its uncanny silence. What's New: The reward for Said's capture has been doubled and Tissy Said, his wife and the mother of the two murdered girls, has been ejected from the home of her extended Muslim family. Her beloved son, Islam, (from whom she would not willingly part), has been sent away from her. The Said family presumably want him to be "around a man" (his paternal uncle in New York City) and not around his mother. According to Tissy's great-aunt, the brave, outspoken, Gail… [cont.] Asked by Khankrumthebulgar - Wed May 21 18:57:48 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. The liberal media doesn't report things like this, because it doesn't fit in with their notion that all faiths have equal value. They are afraid to speak out against Islam.
