North Texas (also commonly called North Central Texas or Northeastern Texas) is a distinct cultural and geographic area forming the central-northeastern section of the U.S. state of Texas. North Texas is generally considered to include the area south of Oklahoma, east of Abilene, and north of Waco. North Texas, being more precisely the northern part of the eastern portion of Texas, does not include the Panhandle of Texas, despite the fact that it extends farther north. North Texas is centered upon the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, the largest metropolitan area in Texas. People in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas sometimes use the terms "Metroplex" and "North Texas" interchangeably. However, North Texas actually refers to a much larger area that includes many rural counties. From Wikipedia under the

From Google News Search: "North Texas" Can You become a veterinarian If You Go to North Texas University? Q. I am planning on being a Vet when I am older. I live near North Texas University. I am REALLY close with my family and I don't want to go to A&M. Is it possible to still fufill my career choice going to that university? Asked by Horse NUTZZZ - Sat Aug 1 23:10:24 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. No. You can earn your bachelor's degree and take the pre-vet requirements there. However, they do not have a vet school so in order to be a vet you will need to go to A&M if you want to stay in-state. You are lucky there is one that close. I am from Arizona and I have to go to Kansas for vet school because Arizona doesn't have a vet school in the entire state. So, you can go to North Texas for 4 years, but you will need to spend another 4 years at A&M. The clothes are all boy, some may be gender neutral. I'm in North Texas. I was hoping to find an orphanage or some similar place that will accept these items. I want to make sure that they are given to someone who really needs them. Asked by Tiffanyr - Tue Jun 19 01:53:51 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Please...the Arlington Pregnancy Center could use that stuff. APC deals directly with pregnant women who are in need. They don't resell stuff. In this way, they support women in hard situations and encourage them to see their pregnancies through. They also support women post-preggo. If you are near DFW, let me know and I can help you get your stuff to APC. Answered by prime8 - Wed Jun 20 13:27:53 2007 Does Pulsatilla grow well in North Texas?
Q. I just sowed its seeds. I am currently soaking them in water because I bought these seeds online and they therefore are not fresh. I am also aware that it may take even one year to just see them germinate. I just would like to know if they can stand the heat of North Texas or should I do something in order to protect it. Thanks! I plan on leaving them in a container Asked by Rino M - Sat Jan 17 18:57:17 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Most wild flowers can handle TX heat. Your seeds don't require soaking and should germinate in 2-4 weeks with a temperature of 63-73 degrees. If they don't sprout in 6 weeks, cold treat 2-6 weeks and try again. The wet paper towel method works for Anemone seeds too. Answered by reynwater - Sun Jan 18 07:22:57 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "North Texas"
